The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily execution and supervision of
warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, handling, and dispatching of coolers,
spare parts, and accessories. The role ensures that inventory is managed accurately,
workflows are followed efficiently, and that all work is conducted in accordance with safety and
quality standards. This position works closely with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager to
maintain operational excellence and a safe, well-organized working environment.
1. Daily Warehouse Operations
● Supervise day-to-day receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch activities for
refrigeration equipment and related products.
● Ensure stock is correctly labeled, stored, and handled in accordance with company
procedures.
● Coordinate with technical teams to route damaged or returned stock to repair facilities
and track the process.
2. Inventory Control
● Conduct cycle counts and support monthly and annual stock takes.
● Investigate and resolve stock variances or discrepancies in coordination with inventory
teams.
● Maintain accurate inventory transaction records on WMS/ERP systems.
3. Staff Supervision & Development
● Allocate work, supervise, and guide warehouse operatives and forklift drivers.
● Conduct on-the-job training for new or temporary staff on operational procedures and
health & safety standards.
● Monitor team performance and report issues or recommendations to management.
4. Health, Safety & Environment (EHS) Compliance
● Enforce compliance with all warehouse safety protocols, including the safe handling of
coolers and refrigerant gases.
● Ensure proper use of protective equipment, handling procedures for hazardous
materials, and emergency response readiness.
● Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections.
5. Logistics & Dispatch Coordination
● Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, checking for accuracy, damages, and
completeness.
● Liaise with logistics providers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
● Assist in maintaining an efficient warehouse layout to optimize workflow and access to
stock.
Required Qualifications:
● Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
● 3–5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in technical
equipment, refrigeration, or parts distribution.
● Basic computer literacy and experience using Warehouse Management Systems
(WMS/ERP).
● Forklift license (advantageous).
Preferred Qualifications:
● Post-matric qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management
(advantageous).
● Training in Occupational Health & Safety or first aid.
● Previous experience working in technical repair logistics or reverse logistics.
