Our organisation is looking for an experienced and passionate People Specialist: Assessments & Job Design to support the delivery of a comprehensive global Psychometric Assessment and Job Design capability, aligned to best practice, regulations, and internal policies and processes.  

As a People Specialist: Assessments & Job Design, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

Psychometric Assessment Support  

  • Administer and coordinate the assessment process across the Group and according to HPCSA Psychology Board and other applicable regulatory requirements 
  • Generate and review assessment reports prior to sharing with relevant stakeholders  
  • Provide detailed assessment feedback and consultation to line managers and employees 
  • Compile assessment summaries for team-based assessments and talent reviews  

Job Design Support 

  • Support the creation and implementation of new positions and amendments to current positions across the organisation, including analysis, profiling and grading 
  • Manage and assume responsibility for the job profile system, data and inventory 
  • Establish the comparable worth of roles by benchmarking the jobs in the organisation against the market 

Smollan Competency Framework Oversight and Maintenance  

  • Support the maintenance of the Smollan Competency Framework, ensuring alignment of competencies on all relevant documentation and systems 
  • Upskill the broader People team on the use and application of the Smollan Competency Framework, ensuing that it is used effectively  
  • Provide recommendations based on the correct competencies to be assessed per job level and job requirements  

System and Data Management 

  • Manage and oversee the psychometric assessment and job design systems  
  • Capture and ensure accurate assessment and job design information on relevant systems (e.g., Talent Management system, Recruitment system, Payroll systems and data base) 
  • Carry out regular audits to ensure accurate job design information is captured on relevant systems, and where necessary, facilitate corrective action 
Requirements

What are we looking for?

To qualify for this role you should have:

4-5 years' experience in psychometrics with exposure to a range of assessment tools and methodologies. Previous experience in the provision of assessment feedback essential||Essential / Minimum|0-5 years|
Diploma or Degree/NQF level 6 or 7
Degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology
Professional registration as a Psychometrist or Industrial Psychologist essential
Knowledge and understanding of job design principles
Communication skills (verbal & written)
Knowledge and accreditation on EvaleX and Cognitive process profile (CPP) assessments advantageous
